Let's see:
We recorded a song, we're getting the song released on a compilation CD that will be put out at NORTH BY NORTH EAST! AND we get to play a booth at the Hyatt in Toronto for three days! Things are coming along out of nowhere and it's really incredible. Our friend Rory produced the first track very well and wants to have an E.P. done by June 15th (for the show) so we're going to be there recording four songs or so. We tried tracking guitars on our second song (the first one I've written) but God sent a flood to his basement to ruin those dreams. The song is about me being the devil, so I think that is called God's wrath. We are going to Leamington to jam with his friend tomorrow and we might record a cut of the song right off the floor, which means we all record live instead of doing each part separately. I'm pretty excited for this as well except for the fact that it's scary singing in front of Rory since I'm not great and he really is. But we'll get it done.
We're trying to get a show at the Dominion House on June 4th as well to practice before Toronto. We get wristbands for the shows while we're there (though we don't know to what extent) but it's still very exciting.
I need to hand resumés out though as a job is very important right now. H&M is hiring so hopefully I'll get that.
Things are turning around very quickly and I'm not complaining.

Come give me a private show. Still long hair, don't care like a Navajo

Woke up late. Still attempted to do my taxes which backfired since they were closed. Hung at the Pit. Got Jarrod and we went to DJ a family reunion sort of thing. It was just about thirty older people who were actually really nice and funny and sweet. It was miserable in that it was really boring and there was no food (or pay) but it wasn't a bad way to spend an evening. We then met up with birthday boy Jordan and his cousin and his friends and headed to Lawyer. It was alright but then we headed to Lefty's (usual) and got cheap drinks. I had a lot of fun there, drank a fair amount, Nicole stole my glasses and I was blind for like ten minutes, talked to a lot of people. Ended up driving two other friends home which was eventful. There was a lot of drama as usual but most of it cleared itself up. Went to Rosina's, had my photo taken with the sun cascading on my pale skin haha, and then came home. Have nothing to wake up for so maybe I'll get some script writing done tomorrow and actually be productive. (I'll probably just play Perfect Dark at the Pit all day).
Though I'm poor and have no future life is still very good.

Getting home at 6:45 in the morning does not bother me one bit. Got fired from Payless today, went to the pit to drown my sorrows, realized I'm not really feeling sorrowful, got some stuff at Value Village, played a great session of Wallyball, went to Lefty's and Manchester with Jor, Jarrod, and Chris, got home, went to Rosina's, got home.
Tomorrow is another long day of Income Tax filing, Dj-ing a family reunion, and then meeting up at Lefty's for Jordan's birthday. I can't wait.

Me and Jarrod woke up early to go to CJAM to record our demo show which will hopefully land us an actual show. I made a playlist last night on my iPod and we headed there today. Got there and discovered the recording studio doesn't have itunes... disappointed, we went to get blank cds and came to my house to download all the songs I had. It was pretty annoying but we got it burned and went back. It took us about two hours to record an hour and a half, which wasn't too bad seeing as we made a couple cueing errors with the music and had to delete a talking part and rerecord it. I think it went pretty well. I was nervous as shit but ultimately calmed down and realized that it's just speaking about music, no difficulty there. I hope we get this show, it will really make the summer that much better and we'll have something to promote (I love promoting things if you weren't aware). Now hopefully Jordan will come here to get some songs written and this can turn into the most productive day in quite some time.

So cross my heart and hope to die

Woke up late. Put a kitchen table chair set together for my mom on the Eve of her special day. (Also I'm broke so I can't do anything for her tomorrow, I thought this would be a nice gesture). I wrote a pretty nice song that has no CAPO, finally!
Spent the day playing pool at the Snake Pit and having a run in with a fucking Queen Bee! Josh chased it out of the garage and BROKE HIS IPHONE! So sad.
Then we went with Ian and Jarrod to retrieve the basketball net which adjusts to 10 feet. I'm so stoked for this summer; endless basketball. We then went to Jordan's with Rosina and Christina and other peeps for a bit. It was nice and Jor put candy out (including sweet tarts, nerds, laffy taffy, and reese's pieces).
Josh and I headed back to the Pit to find it abandoned. Proceeded to play a best of seven series on NHL 11 that went all the way to Overtime of game seven! I came out victorious, but it was a hard fought battle on both sides.
I am now in my bed preparing for a day full of basketball and relaxing. An active few days to follow I hope.
Happy Mother's day to any... mothers.. who may come across this.

Since Tumblr is down I thought I'd post here to keep track of my recent life.
No order though, just highlights.
Jarrod and I have rented a garage. It is Justin Theuma's mothers and she's giving it to us at a very reasonable price.
It's called The Snake Pit or The Tobacco den as a harsh term. It's full of great things and pics will probably show up as they are taken. We've taken to watching movies, playing video games, playing pool, microwaving things, and just hanging out. There's also air hockey and a black jack table. Futon and seats and boxing gloves, among other things. It's a land of dreams and has been nothing but entertainment so far. Basketball net to come.
I finished Water for Elephants which was amazing. I can't wait for the movie and it's the kind of book that you can't really miss too much so it should be solid.
Group drama has continued but we've been generally avoiding it, just trying to float between friends. I love everyone and wish we could all hang out, but this division kind of makes things interesting as there's always someone to hang out with.
I got super drunk last weekend and ruined a pretty swell plan for the evening by throwing up incessantly until I passed out. But waking up to the rain outside the window with her (albeit disapproving) face beside me was very sobering. And I didn't get a ticket for parking on the wrong side of the street until 5pm, bonus!
I feel like I'll be saying "albeit" a lot for awhile.
Now it's time for bed followed by spectating a roller hockey game tomorrow, hopefully followed by Basketball, some drinks at Jordan's new apartment and then a night of debauchery (also a frequent term) at The Pit. Another good weekend ahead of me with less whiskey (fingers crossed).

Let's see you fuck your way out of this one Mark

Let's see:
CJAM orientation is finished. I am really excited to get the show going and get a blog up and have people chat with us and such.
Wallyball has been happening and has been really fun and good for my floundering physique. Warmer weather will bring basketball and contacts for my birthday will bring a whole lot of competitive(ish) basketball.
Work has been a passing amount of hours where I read Water for Elephants, think of movie scripts, and bide my time until I get to enjoy my life.
I have a sweet girlfriend who makes delicious pasta (bowties, my fav.) and likes Community as much as I do. I'm excited for summer adventures with her.
So little things are going on in my life and they have all been pretty awesome.
Also, watch PIRATE RADIO, it is so funny and inspiring, and wonderfully acted/written.
Bedtime. Tomorrow feels like a Monday, but two shifts and it will be a drunken, interesting weekend.

That awesome moment

When the night is supposed to end at Last Call but instead you go make stories until 5am. I have to get up at 930 for work and am not looking forward to that. But I don't won't regret it until conversations tomorrow. Life is awesome, that's all that fucking matters.

Me and Jarrod drove to Bellriver tonight after work just to kill time and bond. It was beautiful out, albeit a little chilly, and Belleriver was also beautiful. On the way home we listened to Culdesac by Childish Gambino, which happens to be one of the best rap records I've ever heard. This man is perfection personified. So much talent. I'm so glad we're onto this as summer is approaching, he will be the voice of our debauchery. This is mostly a post to remember the good bonding night and the genius that is Donald Glover.

The sun comes out and just makes the whole world a better place. I haven't had bad days lately anyway, but today just felt fucking perfect. My friends and I went to another friend's niece's second birthday party in Amherstburg and his brother's beautiful house. It was hot but breezy. We ate cupcakes that were made inside of ice cream cones, played monkey in the middle, soccer (I broke my flip flops on the first day), ate pizza, and hung out. It was wonderful. Then we went to Milk. Played cards. Walked around at the river, played football until the sun went down, cardio felt great, and chatted. We then got shwarma and headed back to Milk to see Crissi Cochrane and Mike Hargreaves from Michou play acoustic. One) They are super cute together, doing duets. Two) They are both incredible just playing perfect songs. And three) They inspired me like every show does to keep writing. Now I am itching to at least play open mic while we work on songs as a band. And I am being a tyrant this week because we need to get stuff written! Me et Rosina then came here so I could teach her guitar (a little more than the basics she already knows) and she turns out to be a natural. So we best be working on stuff too so we can hit the stage hard.
I walked her out and sat on the stairs enjoying the breeze, which I will be doing right when I post this. Today is perfect, the next few days are work but I don't care, I love sun and warmth. I also got a tan on my arms today, need to get this shirt off so I can eliminate myself from the Paleforce!
I hope everyone else had a great day.
I posted this to tumblr but would like to have it here so it's easily visible.
